U15A Queens lost in the Championship game of the Behlen Female Challenge. The hard fought nail biter saw the Queens lose, 3-2 in Overtime to the Winnipeg Storm.
The Queens played shorthanded the last 4 minutes of the game. Finally with 2 players in the penalty box, the Storm evened the game at 2 with 15 seconds left in the third period.
With 23 seconds left in first overtime, the Storm scored the game winning goal on a ricochet and bad bounce. Zoe Turner played a fantastic game in net, but suffered the loss.
The girls played incredibly all weekend and really showed how they stack up against the Manitoba talent. They earned their silver medals. Great job Queens!
