Bantam A Queens Take Final Super Chill Game in Thrilling Shootout

BLAINE, MN — On the final day of the Super Chill Tournament, the Bantam A Queens took on Blaine for 7th place. Grace Fitzpatrick capitalized on a feed from Paige Fucile late in the first to give the Queens a 1-0 lead. Blaine tied the game back just 31 seconds after but Amanda Valente would take the lead back just over a minute later and with 32 seconds in the period. Julia Moro was credited with the lone assist.

Blaine got the only goal of the second, tying it up again and took their first lead in the third but a couple minutes later the Queens tied it back up at three after Chloe Allam setup Fucile for a scoring chance and score, tying the game at 3.

The game went to a shootout. The Queens got an early up 2-0 with successful shootout attempts from Grace Fitzpatrick and Kaitlin Whatley but Blaine would end up scoring a couple as well to force it to extra shooters. Finally, the 8th and final shooter, Chloe Allam would slide the puck 5-hole to win the game in the shootout.

The Queens leave Blaine on a high note and get some strong reps against tough competition under their belts.
