MISSISSAUGA, ON — After going on an impressive 3-0-0 run and not allowing a goal, the Peewee Queens have been ousted from the OWHA Provincial Championship tournament after a 3-2 loss to the Nepean Wildcats.
The two teams traded goals in the first. The Wildcats scored first but Bridget Cameron would get a setup feed from Rhae Thomas and Brynn Hannula and score with 10 seconds left in the period.
In the second, the Queens took the lead as Hannula sniped with 3:52 remaining in the period. Cameron and Taylee Marks drew assists on the goal.
Early in the third though, Nepean drew even scoring just 1:33 into the final frame and then managed the go ahead goal in the last five minutes, which the Queens couldn’t come back from.
Overall, a really good run for the Peewee Queens. They go 3-1-0 over the tournament, outscoring their opponents 10-2.
