Cameron Nets Loan Goal versus Brampton
MISSISSAUGA, ON — The Peewee Queens began their OWHA Provincials Championship bid with a Friday morning slate against the Brampton Canadettes.
The Queens dominated the play, outshooting Brampton 32-10. Abby Wills stayed focused despite the infrequent workload, stopping all 10 shots she faced. The 0-0 draw held up until the dying minutes of the game when Avery Olenik moved the puck up to Taylee Marks on the powerplay. Marks found Bridget Cameron in a scoring position and she’d bury her opportunity with just 1:48 left in the game. The Queens would hang on to the 1-0 win.
The Peewee Queens next game is at 6:30pm on Friday against the Mississauga Chiefs.
