Andreacchi, Kunnas Provide Queens Offence in BramptonBRAMPTON, ON – The Sportop Midget AA Queens started the 2 Nations College Prep Series with a bang in the 17U division on Friday, defeating the North Halton Twisters 5-2. Molly Kunnas led the way with a goal and two assists while Makenna Burke backstopped Thunder Bay allowing only one even-strength goal. In their evening match against the Guelph Jr Gryphons, Kunnas would again play a large roll scoring 2 goals in a 3-1 win.
Meanwhile in the 14U division, the Bantam AA Queens also had an excellent first game defeating the Chicago Fury 4-0 on the back of a four point performance from Gaby Andreacchi and a shutout by goalie Lindsay Humeniuk. Later that afternoon, Thunder Bay dropped their first game of the tournament losing 6-3 to the Ottawa 67s.
