BA Queens Take Home the OneHockey Championship

ROCHESTER, MN – The Queens 4-0 record put them into the Championship Game on Sunday morning at 8:40am, again, against Naperville, who seemed to be getting stronger with each game as both teams would go scoreless in the opening period as they battled for gold. Thunder Bay would draw first blood late in the second period on a goal by Bria Filice who had a strong tournament all weekend. Naperville would tie it back up midway through the third though at 1-1. With the threat of overtime looming and scoring chances both ways, the draw would finally break as Sydney Mosa broke the tie to give the Queens the go ahead. This lead to a sudden outpouring of goals by Thunder Bay much to the relief of their coaches and parents. Mylee Zechner would get an insurance marker with Grace Grosjean scoring as well, putting the chance of a comeback by Naperville even further out of reach. The final buzzer sounded as the team all celebrated around winning goaltender, Camryn Williams.

In all, the Bantam A Queens went a perfect 5-0, outscoring their opponents 32-2.
