Goalless draw for Thunder Bay vs. Toronto in Stoney CreekSTONEY CREEK, Ont. – It was a battle of the goaltenders Saturday evening as the Thunder Bay Sportop midget AA Queens skated to a 0-0 overtime time with the Toronto Aeros at the 12th annual Stoney Creek Sabres Showcase.
Both the Queens’ Josée Robinson and the Aeros’ Natalie Thompson handled each of the 24 shots they faced to help give each side a point in the standings and post shutouts for their respective clubs.
With the result Thunder Bay finished their round robin portion of the schedule with a 1-1-2 overall record with three of the four contests requiring OT.
The Queens will wrap-up play in the 64-team tourney Sunday at 1:25 p.m. against the Vancouver Comets.
