WINNIPEG – Thunder Bay Manshield Construction bantam A Queens have returned home from the Stars Cup tournament in Winnipeg with a bronze medal after a third place finish in their division.

The Queens got a pair of goals from Shaelagh Hennessey; including the game-winner as the defeated the Dryden Timberwolves 6-2 Sunday.

Thunder Bay also got solo markers from Breanna Veneruz, Hanna Johnston, Delaney McLeod and Caitlyn Arella, who also dished out a pair of assists in the triumph.

Taylor Gombola earned the victory in net for the Queens.

The club, along with each of the other four Queens’ teams, will now gear up to participate in the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association’s provincial championships, April 8-11 in Toronto.
