VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECKS (VSC) FOR TEAM OFFICIALS
It will be necessary for all coaches, managers, volunteers to have a current, valid, Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) on your profile in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) in order to register and be rostered with an Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) team. Uploading your document onto RAMP registration portal is not sufficient.
ALL VSC DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED AND VALIDATED THROUGH THE CENTRALIZED SCREENING PORTAL BEFORE MEMBERS CAN BE ROSTERED TO AN OWHA TEAM.
Check your profile in the HCR to ensure that a Police Check is current and on file.
For terminology purposes, VSC and VSS are one and the same document.
Log into your Spordle Account, click on the "Member" tab from the left, find your profile and click on the "View Profile".
Below your name and Association, you will see if your VSC and online Declaration Form has been submitted and validated.
IF YOU REQUIRE A NEW VSC DOCUMENT, PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU START THE PROCESS TO REQUEST ONE ASAP.
ALL VSC DOCUMENTS AND DECLARATION FORM, MUST BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE SCREENING SUBMISSION PORTAL TO BE VALIDATED.

NOTE: Please do not email your documents or receipts to the OWHA as we cannot submit documents on your behalf.
IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS & PROCESS
- It is your responsibility to obtain your VSC document and complete the online Declaration Form and submit it through the Screening Submission Portal.
- When requesting a VSC document, you will be required to provide a letter to your local police service. A copy of the TBWHA - VSC Screening Check Letter is available here.
- If you have initiated the process of obtaining a VSC, please submit a copy of your receipt via the Screening Submission Portal. If you have uploaded a receipt for your VSC, the actual VSC MUST be uploaded when it arrives to avoid being removed from the roster.
- If your HCR profile indicates your VSC expiry date is beyond the 2024 / 2025 season, you MUST go through the Screening Submission Portal
Note: If submitting a VSC via scan (PDF) and it is not deemed a true copy, submission of the original by mail will be requested (pictures or images of your document will NOT be accepted).
