U15A off to Finals at Three Rivers Cup
After a tough 4-1 loss to the Hamilton Hawks in the last round robin game, the Shout Media U15A Queens came back to the semi-final game hungry. Ava Burke had the only unassisted goal.
In the semi-final game the Queens would get the better of the Cincinnati Lady Swords. In the rematch, both sides battled hard in the first period. In net Norah Traer stopped a penalty shot to keep the score 0-0, until Layla Timko broke the ice in the 2nd with a goal assisted by Payton Harbluk and Stacey Konopski. In the third period a goal by Reese Kehl assisted by Lucy Cain and Layla Timko put the Queens up 2-0. Stacey Konopski put the icing on the cake with a third goal assisted by Payton Harbluk.
