Sportop U18AA Queens 1-0-1 After Day 1
The Sportop U18AA Queens were back in action for game 2 of the Stoney Creek Showcase against the always tough Brampton Canadettes.
The Queens controlled most of the play in the first period and outshot Brampton 7-2, but failed to find the back of the net on some Grade A scoring chances.
The second period was similar and included a great scoring chance by Brooklyn Voortman, but she was robbed by the Brampton netminder.
The third period would end in a 0-0 tie with the final shots 33-13 in favour of the Queens. Queens goalie Alexandra Young would pick-up the shutout in the 0-0 tie.
The U18AA team faces Waterloo in their next game.
